Radial profiles of lensed z~1 galaxies on sub-kiloparsec scales

We study the spatially resolved physical properties of Cosmic Snake arc in MACS J1206.2-0847 and Abell 0521 (A521). These are two strongly lensed galaxies at redshifts $z=1.036$ $z=1.044$. used observations Hubble Space Telescope (HST) Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA). The former gives access to star formation rate (SFR) stellar mass ($M_\star$), latter H$_2$ molecular gas ($M_{\mathrm{mol}}$). HST ALMA have similar angular resolutions $0.15^{\prime \prime}-0.2^{\prime \prime}$, which with help strong gravitational lensing enable us reach spatial down $\sim 30\,\mathrm{pc}$ 100\,\mathrm{pc}$ these galaxies, respectively. close resolution nearby galaxies. radial profiles SFR, $M_\star$, $M_{\mathrm{mol}}$ surface densities high-redshift compare corresponding exponential scale lengths those local find that about $0.5\,\mathrm{kpc}-1.5\,\mathrm{kpc}$, they 3 10 times larger A521. This is a significant difference knowing comparable integrated properties. nevertheless cover wide distribution. particularity our normalisation density ($\Sigma M_{\mathrm{mol}}$), offset by up factor 20 respect $z=0$ counterparts. SFR also same as $\Sigma M_{\mathrm{mol}}$, expected from Kennicutt-Schmidt law.
